Charges Approved in CFSEU-BC’s Investigation into Drug Trafficking on Vancouver Island

For Immediate Release: November 30, 2023

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) has secured criminal charges against three individuals connected to a 2020 investigation into drug trafficking on Vancouver Island.

In 2021, the CFSEU-BC began an investigation into alleged drug trafficking on Vancouver Island.

The investigation progressed and on March 30, 2021, CFSEU-BC, in partnership with the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP, executed drug-related search warrants at a residence in Duncan. 

On November 27, 2023 the BC Prosecution Service approved charges against Jason Thomas Conrad, a 43-year-old male from Duncan, B.C., Margaret Rose Conrad, a 45-year-old female from Duncan, B.C., and Nicholas Doug Gollinger, a 38-year-old male from Duncan, B.C. Each have been charged with the following offences:

Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;

Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;

Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

All three individuals will appear in court at a later date in relation to these charges.
