Disclosure Facilitator Permanent, Full-Time Integrated Gang Homicide Team (IGHT) – Green Timbers Location The Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC), on behalf of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – BC (CFSEU-BC) and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated candidate to provide specialized and dedicated support to members of the Integrated Gang Homicide Team (IGHT).   Reporting to the Disclosure Coordinator, this position will be responsible for:

• Working within an integrated environment at IHIT to investigate select individual and project-based organized crime related homicides
• Providing support in the preparation of disclosure packages for Court according to the Police Crown Memorandum of Understanding and the DWG guidelines
• Assisting in the planning and coordination of disclosure packages
• Working on electronic reports and legal documents in support of the disclosure function;
• Auditing and vetting of documents and tasks
• Liaising and working in cooperation with Crown prosecutors (PPSC and AG of BC) and other law enforcement agencies
• Maintaining confidentiality, tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters, in accordance with disclosure principles
• Giving evidence in court, as required
• Other related duties in support of the coordination of investigative and disclosure materials such as: scanning of documents; tracking and managing incoming file material; taking briefing minutes; renaming documents according to business rules; converting multimedia and vetting of documents and multimedia; and
• Flexibility and willingness to work extended shifts and be available on short notice as required by the investigation with potential for some travel.

  We are looking for a strong team player with a great attitude, and the following qualifications:

• Completion of two years post-secondary education, with training/courses in computers, word processing, basic police/law procedures, disclosure and/or MCM training. An equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered;
• One to two years of relevant experience, in a law enforcement environment or working on investigations would be an asset;
• Knowledge of the Criminal Code, Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom, the Canada Evidence Act, and Major Case Management Principles;
• Experience of Police/Crown MOUs, Business Rules, and DWG Guides
• Experience in computer software, including Adobe Acrobat;
• Experience in E&R, PRIME BC, and Windows File Tree would be an asset;
• Experience vetting documents would be an asset;
• Experience in investigations involving Major Case Disclosure and liaising with Crown Counsel would be an asset;
• Understanding of the concepts and theories of Canadian law, rules of evidence, disclosure and non-disclosure principles, techniques and procedures would be an asset;
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills;
• Solid organizational, project management, time management and computer skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, with particular emphasis on attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision; and
• Ability to obtain and maintain a RCMP police security clearance. Candidates with an active RCMP clearance would be an asset.

Annual Salary: $70,902.00 - $73,710.00 - $76,518.00 - $79,345.50 - $82,153.50 This is a civilian unionized position with CUPE 718, working 37.50 hours per week. Rates negotiated in the new collective agreement with CUPE 718 will be applied to the current annual salary effective April 1, 2025. This position requires in-office attendance. Junior Criminal Intelligence Analyst Permanent, Full-Time Gang Intervention and Exiting Team (GIET) - Green Timbers Location Working within the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit - BC (CFSEU-BC), British Columbia’s integrated anti-gang police agency, the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated candidate to provide strategic and operational support to GIET. Reporting to the Intelligence Analyst Supervisor, this position will be responsible for:

• Determining, designing and developing data collection strategies, techniques and methods used in the intelligence cycle
• Researching, evaluating, interpreting and analyzing information to identify evolving criminal trends and patterns to contribute to the development of operational and strategic intelligence products
• Preparing reports to identify and/or illustrate criminal group/individual associations and criminal trends
• Conducting operational and strategic analysis to produce intelligence deliverables
• Developing methodologies and strategies to support the GIET workflow, data management and retention.
• Maintaining knowledge of new developments in analytical methodology, techniques and technology
• Establishing a network of internal and external contacts to identify criminal trends, collaborating on joint analytical initiatives/products, exchanging information and conducting intelligence analysis
• Communicating analytical findings in a variety of formats (i.e., written products, briefings, presentations)

  We are looking for a strong team player with a great attitude and the following qualifications:

• Completion of a Bachelors Degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in Economics, Statistics or Sociology, or in a field related to the position. The specialization may also be obtained through a combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Work or Academic experience researching, analyzing information, and preparing written reports
• Experience producing and presenting material to decision makers
• Minimum 3 years experience working with computers and office technology, software, and applications
• Experience using analytical programs including i2 Analyst Notebook, iBase/Microsoft Access, PowerBI/Tableau, data visualization or other specialized geospatial software would be an asset
• Experience with police databases or working in a police environment would be an asset
• Experience working with Open Source Intelligence techniques and technology would be an asset
• Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Strong analytical writing ability and communication skills
• Ability to successfully complete the RCMP Criminal Intelligence Analyst (EC-04) entry examination
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Ability to work flexible hours on short notice is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a RCMP Top Secret security clearance, Canadian citizenship is required. An active RCMP clearance would be an asset.
