Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – BC (CFSEU-BC) Investigation into Illegal Firearms Manufacturing Leads to Prison Sentence
A CFSEU-BC investigation that began in December 2021 has resulted in the sentencing of Adrian Picketts-Yoxall to 3.5 years in prison for offences related to the illegal manufacturing of privately made firearms in BC’s Thompson-Okanagan region.

Charges were approved on October 10, 2023 (Initial Media Release – October 11, 2023), and Picketts-Yoxall pled guilty on March 24, 2025. He was sentenced on July 30, 2025 for:

Firearms Manufacturing (section 99(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada)
• Possession of a Firearm contrary to order ( section 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada)

“The illegal manufacture of firearms poses a serious threat to our communities. This sentencing sends a clear message – we will not tolerate the production of untraceable weapons”, said Cpl. Sarbjit K. Sangha Media Relations Officer CFSEU-BC.
