Administrative Assistant Training Section (6 month contract) – *expires December 21, 2024*
Working within the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – BC (CFSEU-BC), the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated candidate for an Administrative Assistant position working in the Training Section at Green Timbers.
Reporting to the NCO i/c Training, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for:
• Providing assistance and administrative support to the Training team
• Providing exemplary customer service when communicating with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintaining the Training email proxy, disseminating emails for action, and responding accurately and in a timely manner, when appropriate
• Processing and maintaining accurate training records
• Processing, distributing and/or filing paperwork on a regular basis
• Completing forms and requests
• Tracking and maintaining multiple spreadsheets and financial records, and providing metrics and statistics, as required
• Assisting with other related duties and special projects, as required
We are looking for a strong team player with a positive attitude and following qualifications:
• High School graduation
• Minimum one to three years of relevant work experience
• Experience with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook
• Experience working in a policing environment would be an asset
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus
• Demonstrated maturity and professionalism
• Demonstrated sound judgment, integrity and dependability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook) and ability to learn new programs easily
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Ability to obtain and maintain a RCMP police security clearance. Candidates with an active RCMP clearance would be an asset
Annual Salary: $55,926.00- $58,149.00 – $60,352.50- $62,556.00 – $64,779.00
This is a civilian unionized position with CUPE 718, working 37.5 hours per week. This position requires in-office attendance. A pool of candidates may be established to staff additional positions in the future.
