Reporting dually to the WJFO Team Sergeant and the Criminal Intelligence Analyst Supervisor, the Senior Criminal Intelligence Analyst of WJFO will be responsible for: • Determining, designing and developing data collection strategies, techniques and methods used in the intelligence process • Researching, evaluating, interpreting and analyzing information to identify criminal trends and patterns and to develop tactical, operational and strategic intelligence products • Preparing reports to identify and/or illustrate criminal group/individual associations and criminal trends • Conducting tactical, operational and strategic analytical assessments for judicial purposes, including providing explanations of intelligence products and defending analytical judgements for expert witness testimony in court • Participating in presentations, meetings and working groups as an expert criminal intelligence resource, and contributing to the development of new analytical methods and approaches • Establishing a network of internal and external contacts to identify criminal trends, collaborating on joint projects, exchanging information and conducting intelligence analysis • Communicating and presenting analytical findings in various formats to inform management and operational personnel • Other duties as required We are looking for a strong team player with a positive attitude who can work in a fast-paced environment and possesses the following qualifications: • Completion of a Bachelors Degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences or Applied Sciences, or in a field related to the position. Note: The specialization may also be obtained through a combination of education, training and/or experience • Minimum of 3 years experience (within the last 5 years) in intelligence analysis, in at least one of the following fields: crime, tactical, operational or strategic. • Minimum 3 years experience working in a police environment. • Minimum 3 years work experience researching, analyzing and evaluating information, preparing written reports or present materials to decision makers. • Minimum 2 years experience related to marine port and/or border-related operational environments. • Minimum 2 years experience working and collaborating with the international intelligence community. • Experience using analytical programs including i2 Analyst Notebook, iBase or specialized mapping software. • Experience using major project or major case management model in an investigative unit. • Experience in PRIME, E&R and other law enforcement databases • Extensive knowledge of the marine and/or border threat landscape. • Strong communication and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with the ability to work with minimal supervision • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision • Ability to successfully complete the National RCMP Test for Senior Intelligence Analysts (required, unless previous passed) • Ability to travel domestically and internationally • Ability to work flexible hours on short notice is required • Ability to obtain and maintain a RCMP top secret security clearance. An active RCMP clearance would be an asset Annual Salary: $100,503.00 - $106,002.00 - $111,520.50 - $117,019.50 - $122,499.00 This is a civilian unionized position with CUPE 718, working 37.50 hours per week.   • Setting up, deploying, and supporting all computers and peripherals within CFSEU-BC; including but not limited to: laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, scanners and monitors
  • Managing Active Directory users and computers for both the CFSEU-BC
  • Managing file and security access for users
  • Acting as a Local Registration Authority (LRA) to facilitate Entrust activations for users’ tokens/smartcards
  • Troubleshooting use issues relating to i2, ICU Workbench, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and various other software products

  • Providing support in the preparation of disclosure packages for Court according to the Police Crown Memorandum of Understanding and the DWG guidelines
  • Assisting in the planning and coordination of disclosure packages
  • Working on electronic reports and legal documents in support of the disclosure function;
  • Auditing and vetting of documents and tasks
  • Liaising and working in cooperation with Crown prosecutors (PPSC and AG of BC) and other law enforcement agencies
