Multiple Contract Positions
Technical Operations – Green Timbers and Offsite

Working within the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – BC (CFSEU-BC), the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) is recruiting an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate for the role of Administrative Assistant to provide assistance and support to the Technical Operational Support teams.

Reporting to the Technical Operations Staff Sergeant and supporting various units at different locations, this position will be responsible to:

  • Coordinate and conduct the administrative duties and team processes
  • Purchase supplies, software, hardware and equipment which includes conducting procurement requests and tracking approvals for purchase
  • Monitor and maintenance of purchases and inventory systems (i.e. tracking software/hardware, labeling, tracking and adding new hardware)
  • Coordinate the logistics for meetings such as booking meetings, preparing and distributing agendas, taking and distributing minutes and monitoring action items to ensure deadlines are met
  • Develop and maintain the filing system including disposing, archiving and retrieving files
  • Prepare, process, submit and distribute correspondence, forms, reports, manuals and other documents
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail which includes dealing with couriers and suppliers
  • Respond to inquiries from police officers and partner agencies
  • Provide financial support that includes tracking expenditures, reconciling receipts and submitting statements/invoices for processing
  • Assist with pick up, drop off and coordinate servicing for equipment and supplies
  • Other related duties, as required

The successful candidate(s) will be a strong team player with excellent customer service and be able to adapt in a fast- paced work environment with minimal supervision, and meet the following qualifications:

  • High school completion plus additional courses in office administration, word processing, basic accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant administrative experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organization skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Working knowledge of procurement
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a RCMP security clearance, and a SOIA designation

Annual Salary $55,926.00 – $58,149.00 – $60,352.50 – $62,556.00 – $64,779.00

This is a unionized position with CUPE, working as and when required up to 37.5 hours per week. This position requires in-office attendance and will be required to work at various locations. Travel may be required on occasion.
