Working within the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – BC (CFSEU-BC), the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) is
recruiting an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to oversee strategic and tactical analysis resources which support CFSEU-BC teams
and portfolios. Reporting to the Deputy Operations Support Officer, the Criminal Intelligence Analyst Supervisor will be responsible to:

• Plan, manage and direct a team of Intelligence Analysts to support the production of analytical deliverables to meet client
needs
• Manage human resources and administrative functions for a team of Analysts which encompasses staffing, orientation,
resource allocation, training, goal setting, coaching, conducting performance assessments, providing developmental
opportunities and performing quality assurance reviews
• Liaise with management and operational clients on complex/sensitive analytical intelligence matters, provide options for
securing analytical services, and define and implement service delivery models for analytical services to manage priorities
• Provide subject matter expertise in the analytical field to clients through delivery of information and/or training sessions at
various venues, and integrate intelligence from various sources to develop reports that provide recommendations to
management for decision-making
• Establish and maintain a network of internal and external sources and contacts within the intelligence community to meet
ongoing business requirements, and identify strategic challenges and opportunities in the areas of criminal intelligence
analytical services, including crime trends that affect the client
• Coordinate input on the development of new analytical methods, techniques and approaches; contribute to policy
development regarding criminal intelligence analysis internally and externally within the analytical community, as well as keep
abreast of evolving crime trends and organized crime groups
• Research and analyze diverse and complex issues for senior management and initiate and provide solutions
• Other duties as required

We are looking for a strong team player with a positive attitude who can work in a fast-paced environment, with the following
qualifications:

• Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supervision which may include coaching or mentoring in a police environment
• Minimum 5 years of experience in utilizing research methodologies, analytical techniques and building processes and policies
• Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary project or complex intelligence project
• Experience working in a criminal intelligence environment would be an asset
• Minimum 5 years of experience in delivering intelligence presentations and providing recommendations to senior
management, government, third-party stakeholder organizations, or other agencies
• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining internal and external partnerships which may include domestic or international
stakeholders, intelligence agencies, government agency/departments, academic communities or private sector
• Experience with participation in developing and delivering training
• Successful completion of the RCMP criminal intelligence entry exam
• Ability to work flexible hours on short notice, and travel domestically and internationally as required
• Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP Top Secret police security clearance

Annual Salary: $113,353.50- $119,554.50 – $125,755.50 – $131,956.50 – $138,157.50 (effective April 1, 2024)

This is a unionized position with CUPE working 37.5 hours per week. This position requires in-office attendance.

A pool of candidates may be established to staff additional positions in the future.
