Location: Permanent, Full-Time Position – Human Resources (HR) – Green Timbers, BC
About the Organization: The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – BC (CFSEU-BC) and the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) are at the forefront of efforts against organized crime in BC. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Human Resources Assistant to support our HR functions.
Position Overview: Reporting to the Senior HR Advisors, the Human Resources Assistant will:
- Provide administrative support and assistance to the HR department.
- Maintain the HR proxy, managing emails, organizing folders, and responding appropriately.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain employee records, including processing and filing documents.
- Maintain HR information systems and provide accurate HR metrics and statistics.
- Support the recruitment and selection process, including coordinating interviews and preparing materials.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation processes for new employees.
- Track and process employee performance assessments and ensure compliance.
- Prepare correspondence and compile information for legal or other professional inquiries.
- Maintain current phone lists, employee profiles, and organizational charts.
- Organize HR meeting agendas and record minutes.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in HR or a related field.
- 1+ year of HR experience or 2+ years in related office administration (equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered).
- Demonstrated confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
- Strong judgment, integrity, dependability, and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of employment-related legislation and standards is an asset.
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe; Visio knowledge is an asset.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance.
Salary: $61,483.50 – $71,214.00
