Working within the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – BC (CFSEU-BC), the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) is recruiting an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to lead the Logistics Team at CFSEU-BC.

Reporting to the Program Support NCO, the Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Managing the CFSEU-BC inventory control, which includes sourcing, evaluating and costing new fleet and equipment to be purchased.
  • Providing logistical support for search warrants
  • Liaising with RCMP IM&T for tracking member and team radio assignments
  • Managing a fleet for over 500 employees and maintaining the fleet vehicle database
  • Arranging insurance coverage annually
  • Negotiating fuel discounts, maintaining fuel cards, and reviewing the bills/records monthly for accountability
  • Contacting companies to obtain vehicles for suitability evaluation
  • Creating and maintaining vehicle accident reporting and file management on PRIME
  • Supervising the logistics team and ensure employee service and support is met
  • Negotiating preventative maintenance and improvements contracts
  • Purchasing office equipment and miscellaneous equipment for operational purposes
  • Managing janitorial service provided to ensure expectations met
  • Overseeing the removal/disposal of any old, damaged or unused furniture, racking equipment, tires, batteries, computers to designated disposal sites
  • Preparing budget submissions for equipment and capital costs
  • Supervising the Administrative Assistant with invoice processing and payment in a timely manner
  • Tracking all expenses weekly to determine current budget projections
  • Liaising with the Senior Management Team (SMT) for all vehicle leases/purchases, then negotiate terms, rates and mileage limits with vendors
  • Tracking all credit card expenditures to ensure policies are adhered to
  • Ensuring all contractors are escorted on building premise

We are looking for a strong team player with a positive attitude who can work in a fast-paced environment, with the following qualifications:

  • Completion of high school diploma
  • Possess a valid class 5 BC driver’s licence
  • Minimum 5-7 years related experience in fleet and equipment management
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe
  • Knowledge of current vehicle trends and issues
  • Experience working with RCMP sensitive expenditures and financial processes would be an asset
  • Experience working in a policing environment with an understanding of covert duties would be an asset
  • Experience providing reporting to SMT would be an asset
  • Completion of PRIME courses would be an asset
  • Completion of leadership training would be an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an enhanced RCMP security clearance. Candidates with an active RCMP clearance would be an asset.

Annual Salary: $94,575.00 – $98,338.50 – $102,082.50 – $105,865.50 – $109,629.00

This is a civilian unionized position with CUPE 718, working 37.5 hours per week. This position requires in-office attendance.

A pool of candidates may be established to staff additional positions in the future.
