CFSEU-BC – Provincial Justice Ministry Joint Statement re Quebec Arrests

Youtube Profile PictureMetro Vancouver – Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit-BC Chief Officer Dan Malo and Justice Minister Shirley Bond issued the following statement today in response to the arrests of well-known B.C. gangsters by the Surete du Quebec.

“CFSEU-BC and Federal RCMP units provided investigative assistance and feet-on-the-ground support to our colleagues in Quebec during their investigation. Three of the men arrested by the Surete du Quebec today are key figures in B.C.’s gang conflict,” says CFSEU-BC Chief Officer Dan Malo.

These guys are on the radar of CFSEU-BC and law enforcement right across Canada and that’s been improved considerably through the National, Provincial and Municipal target enforcement strategies. As we see with the arrests today, the intelligence sharing and cooperation among law enforcement is unparalleled,” Chief Officer Malo says. “As these criminals branch out across the country, we will too.”

“This was a massive effort and I congratulate all the officers who participated in the successful conclusion of this investigation,” says Justice Minister and Attorney General Shirley Bond.

“This will make our streets safer across the country. B.C. invests in public safety and supports the CFSEU so that they can contribute to investigations like this. It’s essential for us to participate in these coordinated cross-Canada investigations and be able to contribute officers and expertise to make our province and country safer.” (Justice Minister Shirley Bond).
