Working within the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit - BC (CFSEU-BC), the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) is recruiting an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to lead the Logistics Team at CFSEU-BC.

Reporting to the Program Support NCO, the Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Managing the CFSEU-BC inventory control, which includes sourcing, evaluating and costing new fleet and equipment to be purchased.
  • Providing logistical support for search warrants
  • Liaising with RCMP IM&T for tracking member and team radio assignments
  • Managing a fleet for over 500 employees and maintaining the fleet vehicle database
  • Arranging insurance coverage annually
  • Negotiating fuel discounts, maintaining fuel cards, and reviewing the bills/records monthly for accountability
  • Contacting companies to obtain vehicles for suitability evaluation
  • Creating and maintaining vehicle accident reporting and file management on PRIME
  • Supervising the logistics team and ensure employee service and support is met
  • Negotiating preventative maintenance and improvements contracts
  • Purchasing office equipment and miscellaneous equipment for operational purposes
  • Managing janitorial service provided to ensure expectations met
  • Overseeing the removal/disposal of any old, damaged or unused furniture, racking equipment, tires, batteries, computers to designated disposal sites
  • Preparing budget submissions for equipment and capital costs
  • Supervising the Administrative Assistant with invoice processing and payment in a timely manner
  • Tracking all expenses weekly to determine current budget projections
  • Liaising with the Senior Management Team (SMT) for all vehicle leases/purchases, then negotiate terms, rates and mileage limits with vendors
  • Tracking all credit card expenditures to ensure policies are adhered to
  • Ensuring all contractors are escorted on building premise

We are looking for a strong team player with a positive attitude who can work in a fast-paced environment, with the following qualifications:

  • Completion of high school diploma
  • Possess a valid class 5 BC driver’s licence
  • Minimum 5-7 years related experience in fleet and equipment management
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe
  • Knowledge of current vehicle trends and issues
  • Experience working with RCMP sensitive expenditures and financial processes would be an asset
  • Experience working in a policing environment with an understanding of covert duties would be an asset
  • Experience providing reporting to SMT would be an asset
  • Completion of PRIME courses would be an asset
  • Completion of leadership training would be an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an enhanced RCMP security clearance. Candidates with an active RCMP clearance would be an asset.

Annual Salary: $94,575.00 - $98,338.50 - $102,082.50 - $105,865.50 - $109,629.00

This is a civilian unionized position with CUPE 718, working 37.5 hours per week. This position requires in-office attendance.

Working within the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit - BC (CFSEU-BC), the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated candidate to assist the Criminal Records Review Unit (CRRU). Reporting to the CRRU Manager, the Information Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to: • Providing support in the preparation, formatting and legal requirement related to disclosure materials • Assisting in the maintenance and organization of all documents of evidentiary value to aid in the creation of rationale documents • Assisting in the disclosure of sensitive information to identify privileged or operationally sensitive information contained in the investigative licensing files • Maintaining comprehensive investigative file knowledge as it pertains to disclosure • Facilitates data flow between CRRU and partners (SPD, municipal departments, RCMP detachments) • Utilizing police systems (PRIME, PROS, JUSTIN, CPIC, etc.) • Designing and maintaining spreadsheets, contact lists and documentation information • Preparing information by organizing paper and electronic data • Maintaining work logs to track data processed in information systems • Assisting with third party checks • Attending court when required • Responding to Access to Information Requests (ATIP) and preparing material for disclosure as per RCMP Policy, and • Other duties, as and when required. We are looking for a strong team player with a positive attitude who can work in a fast-paced environment, with the following qualifications: • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field (i.e. Public or Business Administration or equivalent) OR a combination of education and related experience may be considered. • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an investigative capacity working within a governmental regulatory and/or Police environment • Working experience data mining CPIC, PRIME, PIRS, PROS and other law enforcement databases and/or CORNET and JUSTIN is considered an asset • Sound understanding of provincial and federal statutes (e.g., Privacy Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy, Criminal Code, Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) along with relevant case law and the judicial system • Strong communication and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, and • Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP Enhanced police security clearance. Working within the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit - BC (CFSEU-BC), the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated candidate for the Disclosure Facilitator position to assist in providing specialized and dedicated support to members of a joint operational team working out of E-Division Headquarters. Reporting to the Major Case Systems Coordinator and the Team Sergeant where applicable, this position will be responsible for: • Providing support in the preparation of disclosure packages for Court according to the Police Crown Memorandum of Understanding and the DWG guidelines; • Assisting in the planning and coordination of disclosure packages; • Working on electronic reports and legal documents in support of the disclosure function; • Auditing and vetting of documents and tasks; • Liaising and working in cooperation with Crown prosecutors (PPSC and AG of BC) and other law enforcement agencies; • Giving evidence in court, as required; and • Other related duties in support of the coordination of investigative and disclosure materials such as: scanning of documents; tracking and managing incoming file material; taking briefing minutes; renaming documents according to business rules; converting multimedia and vetting of documents and multimedia. Working within the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit - BC (CFSEU-BC), the Organized Crime Agency of BC (OCABC) is recruiting an experienced supervisor to work as a part of a team that supports gang intervention and exiting strategies. The successful candidate will have a high-level understanding of all aspects on how individuals enter and exit gang life and have a solid understanding of trauma informed practice and program management.

Reporting to the Outreach Coordinator of GIET, the Outreach Supervisor will be responsible to:

  • Manage a caseload of gang intervention and exiting clients and work with CFSEU-BC Gang Intervention Officers to develop and implement intervention strategies for gang involved individuals
  • Establish and monitor short and long term client goals/needs and provide information on available resource services and make appropriate referrals
  • Assess on-going client needs, provide practical support and appropriate crisis response to clients and their families and/or friends to help deal with issues stemming from the client's gang involvement
  • Maintain client case files, update information systems and prepare reports as needed
  • Provide supervision and feedback to gang intervention & exiting program case managers
  • Review and maintain client files on appropriate electronic database systems
  • Manage program referrals and intake for performance evaluation
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with relevant community partners, stakeholders and other levels of government to promote and enhance the program
  • Enhance public awareness of the program and participate in the delivery of educational services by conducting presentations and information sessions with various stakeholder groups
  • Other duties as required.

We are looking for a strong team player with a positive attitude and the following qualifications:

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in a Social Science discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a justice, educational or social service setting that involves supervision, counselling or conflict resolution
  • Experience with supervising staff who work with high risk clients and families facing challenges which may involve exposure to unpleasant situations
  • Knowledge and understanding of the BC gang landscape would be an asset
  • Ability to communicate in an appropriate manner orally and in writing
  • Ability to effectively use standard computer applications (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to be flexible and work evenings and weekends on short notice
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a RCMP Enhanced Reliability police security clearance

Annual Salary: $80,964.00 - $84,181.50 - $87,399.00 - $90,597.00 - $93,814.50
