The men wanted in two separate CFSEU-BC investigations have all been arrested over the past several days after they all turned themselves into police.

Kristopher Smith, who was wanted by CFSEU-BC in connection to an investigation on Vancouver Island, turned himself into Nanaimo RCMP over the weekend.

Derek Timmins, Garth Goodkey, and Daniel Wilson, all wanted by CFSEU-BC in connection to an investigation in the Prince George area, have been arrested and released after each turned themselves into Prince George RCMP at various times over the weekend.

Prince George – A multi-year Agent-led investigation by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC’s (CFSEU-BC) Prince George-based investigative team into the alleged drug trafficking activities of several individuals in the Prince George region has resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of illegal drugs and firearms and three individuals charged with 17 offences related to operating a criminal organization.

Beginning in 2019, CFSEU-BC’s North District investigative team began and led an investigation into a group of individuals based in Prince George suspected of involvement in cocaine trafficking. The investigation resulted in the execution of seven search warrants in February 2021.

In addition to the items seized from the search warrants, three residences have been restrained and a large diamond ring was seized as offence-related property and is now subject to a civil forfeiture proceeding by B.C.’s Civil Forfeiture Office.

On December 15, 2022, the Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) charged three men with the following offences;

1) Derek Timmins, a 49-year-old male from Prince George, has been charged with one count each of:

• Unlawfully trafficking cocaine for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with a criminal organization, section 467.12(1) CCC
• Unlawfully conspire to traffic cocaine, section 465(1)(c) CCC
• Unlawfully trafficking cocaine, section 5(1) CDSA
• Unlawfully possess cannabis for the purpose of distributing for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with a criminal organization, section 467.12(1) CCC

2) Garth Goodkey, a 53-year-old male from Prince George, has been charged with one count each of:

• Unlawfully trafficking cocaine for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with a criminal organization, section 467.12(1) CCC
• Unlawfully conspire to traffic cocaine, section 465(1)(c) CCC
• Unlawfully trafficking cocaine, section 5(1) CDSA
• Unlawfully possess cannabis for the purpose of distributing, section 9(2) Cannabis Act
• Traffic a non-restricted semi-automatic rifle, Section 99(1)(a) CCC
• Traffic a prohibited semi-automatic rifle, section 99(1)(a) CCC
• Trafficking two prohibited high-capacity magazines, section 99(1)(a) CCC
• Unlawfully possess cannabis for the purposes of distributing for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with a criminal organization, section 467.12(1) CCC
• Possess a restricted revolver, section 92(1) CCC

3) Daniel Wilson, a 35-year-old male from Prince George, has been charged with one count each of:

• Unlawfully trafficking cocaine for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with a criminal organization, section 467.12(1) CCC
• Unlawfully conspiring to traffic cocaine, section 465(1)(c) CCC
• Unlawfully possess cannabis for the purpose of distribution, section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act
• Store firearms in a careless manner, section 86(1) CCC

Arrest warrants have been issued for all three men. If anyone has any information in connection to the location of these individuals please contact your local police or Crime Stoppers.

“CFSEU-BC continues to work with our partners throughout the province to identify individuals and groups engaged in the trafficking of illegal drugs that cause significant harm to our communities,” says Inspector Joel Hussey, Operations Officer for CFSEU-BC. “Whether they are in the Prince George region and B.C.’s North or elsewhere, CFSEU-BC will investigate and disrupt individuals and groups associated with distributing potentially deadly drugs and firearms that create a significant public safety risk.”
