Vehicle Stop Leads To Arrest Of Male Wanted On Canada Wide Warrant

A male wanted on numerous warrants was arrested in the Langley area by officers with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit’s (CFSEU-BC’s) Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) following a vehicle stop for a Motor Vehicle Act infraction.

On Monday, February 21st, 2022, CFSEU-BC UGET members were on pro-active enforcement patrols in the Langley area as a portion of their gang violence suppression role. While near Logan Ave and 203rd Street, officers noticed a vehicle make a Motor Vehicle Act infraction and conducted a vehicle stop.

While dealing with the driver and front passenger of the vehicle, UGET officers observed a male crouching down in the back, appearing to hide. Officers identified the male as 33- year- old Cody Ball, from Langley.

Offers arrested Ball on three outstanding arrest warrants;

1. Canada wide DNA arrest warrant associated with an Abbotsford PD investigation
2. B.C. wide arrest warrant for Fail to comply with a probation order associated with a Langley RCMP investigation and;
3. B.C. wide arrest warrant for Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property associated with a Clinton RCMP investigation.

Officers transported Ball to the Langley RCMP detachment for a later court appearance.

“CFSEU-BC Uniform Gang Enforcement Team members provide a proactive law enforcement presence across the Lower Mainland daily to ensure public safety,” says Superintendent Alison Laurin, Deputy Operations Support Officer for CFSEU-BC. “We are glad that our officers were able to assist our partner agencies by taking a prolific offender off our streets to be held accountable for his alleged crimes.”
