CFSEU-BC’s Deployment to Dawson Creek Leads to Seizures of Firearms, Drugs and Cash

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC’s (CFSEU-BC) Deployment to Dawson Creek Leads to Seizures of Firearms, Drugs and Cash

From May 6 to May 11, 2025, CFSEU-BC’s Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) deployed to the Peace Region to work alongside Dawson Creek and Fort St. John RCMP. UGET conducted enforcement on gang-related activities to enhance community safety.

The deployment resulted in 33 arrests and 27 new investigations. UGET officers seized a significant quantity of firearms, weapons, suspected illicit drugs, and cash.

Firearms/Weapons:

o 1 loaded 9 mm rifle
o 2 loaded 9 mm pistols
o 2 rifles
o 1 loaded .22 calibre pistol
o 2 replica firearms
o 9 knives
o 2 batons
o 1 machete
o 1 axe
o 1 bayonet
o 2 tasers
o Assorted ammo, scopes, rails and magazines

Drugs:

o 850 grams of crack cocaine
o 275 grams of cocaine
o 15 grams of crystal methamphetamine
o 5 grams of fentanyl

Cash: Approximately $12,500

This deployment dealt a serious blow to drug traffickers and those associated to gangs who are competing for control in the region. We thank our partners in the North District for their support and assistance throughout this deployment.

Sangha, CFSEU-BC Media Relations Officer.“By working closely with police agencies across British Columbia, we enhance public safety and disrupt criminal activity”.

CFSEU-BC Uniform Gang Enforcement Team members are specialists in their field and responsible for direct contact with gang members and the enforcement of Federal, Provincial and Municipal statutes as they relate to gang activity in the Province of British Columbia. Their key priority is the prevention of violence through disruption and/or enforcement action, focusing on Provincial Tactical Enforcement Priority (PTEP) Targets and those involved in gang violence.
